Hema
This chemical is responsible for allergic reactions across the beauty industry. The chemical can easily be absorbed by the skin causing mild or severe reactions.2

Formaldehyde Resin
A derivative of Formaldehyde, mainly used in the production of coatings and adhesives. It is not as toxic as Formaldehyde but can be an allergen.7
Xylene
An irritant to skin, respiratory tract and eyes, possible systemic toxicity by ingestion or inhalation.8
Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP)
Used to enhance flexibility and a flame retardant. A small number of studies suggested it can disrupt endocrine effecting human hormones.9
Parabens
Oestrogen-mimicking effects, studies have suggested major health concerns including hormonal interference.10
